Our sheep practice rentals are designed specifically for dogs and handlers who already have a solid foundation in herding or can clearly demonstrate sufficient capability. This ensures a safe, productive, and enjoyable session. Whether you've taken introductory lessons, competed in beginner trials, or simply have experience working stock at home, these rentals give you the space to build on what you already know without the pressure of constant instruction.

Why Rent Our Sheep 

These sessions are ideal for dogs who need more miles under their paws, trial preparation, focused practice time, experience in a brand new environment, or the chance to work different sheep. Many handlers use our rentals to refine timing, build confidence on stock that reacts differently than their home flock, or simply give their dog consistent, high quality work between lessons or trials.

 Session Format & Support

These are self guided practice sessions with no instructor present on the field. This format gives you the freedom to work at your own pace and focus completely on your dog without distraction. That said, we are always here for you, if you need assistance at any point during your rental, simply text or call us and we'll be available right away. Whether it's a quick question, help moving sheep, or any other support you require, we've got your back so you can train with confidence. 

We do not expect your dog to be working the entire 30 minutes. In fact, we strongly encourage you to build in plenty of breaks for both your dog and the sheep. Please note that we maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for sheep ragdolling, injury, or any form of unfair treatment toward the stock. In the event of injury, the "you break it, you buy it" rule applies.
